Taking a difficult decision

26/10/2015

Last week I needed to take a really difficult decision, and today's post is about it.
Sometimes it's really difficult to choose between your friends and yourself. Last week I needed to, and it was really difficult, but believe me; sometimes it's better to choose for yourself and just don't care about questions and misunderstandings for a moment.

We where just about to leave abroad with school for a week and I found out how much I looked dread. I have been crying for an hour because I just didn't know what to do. Then my mother and I decided that it would be better for me to just stay home, because the step would be to big for me now.
Taking the decision was really difficult for me but I think it was the best decision I could have taken on that moment.

Of course it was difficult for me when my friends sent me pictures and told me how much fun they had, but I think that when I could do it over I maybe still would've stayed home.

I found out that I wasn't the only one that looked dread leaving, and I think that if I would've talked more with my friends about the fact that I didn't want to go, then I maybe would've got it off my chest and maybe I would've made an other decision.

At the end of the day I'm still happy with the fact that I decided to stay home and I think that's the most imported thing. In the week on school without my classmates (I only needed to go to school for 3 hours a day) I had time to come to myself and I think that's a really important thing in life.

My favorite quote

29/9/2015

“If you ever feel like giving up, just remember there’s a little girl watching who wants to be just like you. Don’t disappoint her.”

I love this quote soo much!

This quote is my all time favorite, not only because it's true but also because it totally suits me.

As a little girl I always looked up to older girls, I always wished I could be like them, they were so pretty and so big and did such cool things, like going to parties and having boyfriends and stuff like that. (I think we all had that trainee in kindergarten who was soo beautiful and we wanted to be like her so badly, didn't we?)

As a little girl I thought that being a 16 year old girl would be really amazing, I would have a great group of friends which I would hang out in the park with all the time, a boyfriend who was really handsome, sweet and funny, and I would have amazing parties all the time.

Well...
In real life it's kinda different:

I do have great friends (that I love so much), but not in one big group (school friends and friends from the town I live in + loner friends (you know, those friends that you see alone and not in a group)) and we definitely don't hang out in the park. When we are together we just sit at one of our houses and chat, watch movies and just have fun (I'm not going to lie about the fact that we may or me not drink some alcohol together sometime *winkemoji* ).

I don't have a boyfriend either. Why not? Well I wish I knew so I could do something about it. Hahahaha no, I'm just kidding, I'm not hopelessly waiting for a boy to come to me, sometimes you just have to wait.

The one thing that actually happens are the parties. Here in this small town in The Netherlands we have something amazing called: carnaval. STOP. No it's not like Brazilian carnaval, it's not even in summer. Carnaval means 6 days of celebrating. What do we celebrate? Well actually we don't celebrate it in the original way anymore but originally it are the last days before lent, and it's amazing. Imagine being in a pub for 6 days with all your friends while dressed up in your weirdest clothes (like halloween but not scary) , drinking beer and dancing to dutch party music; that's carnaval.

Back to the quote:

When I first read this quote I realized that when I grew up, I slowly changed roles, I changed from the little girl who looked up to older girls, into an "old" girl which little girls could probably look up to, without even noticing it.

And that's why I love this quote so much, it makes you realize how important it can be to watch what you do in front of little girls, because they can see you as a role model and they then want to be you.

First weeks of school

School has started and after two weeks I'm already so done with it. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy and grateful with the fact that I'm able to go to school but why do teachers need to start with already so much work?
This year is my graduation year.
Normally when you start school, the first 2 weeks are really easy: you just work a little bit at school and have a little homework. But not this year...
Since our first day we have worked really hard and it's frustrating me so badly. I understand that we need to do a lot in a really short time (My exams are in May) but I'm still in a holiday mood and that doesn't really go together. We haven't even had any introduction days?

The only thing I can do right now is work really hard and make sure I do everything in time so I don't have to stress out the evening before (like other years :$) and make it only more difficult for myself.
And of course: stay positive!
I think staying positive really helps you achieving things in life, not only because you will work better and faster, but also because other people will see your positivity and get positive themselves.
Like when you do something good for someone else.
I really like doing random nice things for people (friends, family but also strangers), it gives me an amazing feeling and it makes me feel so good about myself!
I think it gives the people you help the same feeling, and of course you will make them happy. I always hope that because of me doing something nice to them, they will also do something nice to other people and spread happiness in that way!♡
I made some intensions for this schoolyear to make sure I will graduate and still stay happy and positive, here they are!:

1. Plan, I want to make sure I plan everything really well so I don't forget to learn tests/do homework and have my appointments organized
2. Help other people
3. Eat healthy and work out
4. Spend enough time with friends and family
5. Doing as much homework as possible on schooldays so my weekend is a weekend and not two days of studying

I love Tumblr! So for today I made a Tumblr inspired DIY.

What you need:
- Transfer paper
- Flatiron
- An T-shirt (Mine are from Hema, €5,95) , pillow case (Mine is from Hema, €3,50) or bag (Mine is made by my grandmother ♡)

Step 1:
Go to google images and search for Tumblr png. (A png is a picture without a background). For example if you want a picture of a pineapple your can search Tumblr png Pineapple.

Step 2:
Ad your pictures in word. (Beware!: sometimes (depends on which transfer paper you have) you need to print your pictures mirrored, check the instructions of your transfer paper!)

Step 3:
Put the transfer paper in your printer and print you images (Follow the instructions of your transfer paper).

Step 4:
Cut out the images and iron them on your T-shirt/pillow case/bag (Again follow the instructions from your transfer paper, because they are all different!)

I hope you enjoyed this DIY! ♡

Soo, welcome on my blog!

At this moment I'm sitting down on my bed with my laptop. My mother just called me for diner, but diner can wait, because I'm writing my first blogpost! I never thought that I would actually do this, but I decided to step out of my comfort zone and just do it, make my own blog.

At this point I have no idea how this will end, maybe in a month maybe a year or maybe I wil never stop? I have no idea if my blog is interesting for you guys, but you never know! Maybe there are actually people who will like it!

I started this blog because I would really like it to inspire and entertain people with my posts. I want to do DIY's, reviews and more stuff like that. Let's see what happens!
